house's question: Does anyone know if Visa Electron cards are accepted in hotels or ATM machines in Budapest?(give a different answer) .
I used to have Visa Electon card, it is 100% acceptable in ATM machines, but I dont know about the hotels. I think they accept it, but I know for sure that some hotels or shops only accept embossed cards, that is cards where the number is etched on the surface. Visa Electron cards are never embossed and can be used only at electronic point of sales.
