There is only petty crime that affects the tourists. You should be careful about overcharges in taxis (always use licensed taxis) or pickpockets who try to distract you by various means, like approaching you and asking directions, or "accidentally" bumping into you. Be careful what you do with your credit card and insist they charge it in front of you, that's why is good to pay cash in restaurants. Beware of gorgeous girls that invite you to nightclubs or other shady places, you will end up paying insanely overcharged bills.
