The Museum of Transport, Budapest

Posted 1 year ago by avatar hoonie in response to playfast's question: How is the Transport Museum in Budapest? Is it worth seeing? (give a different answer) .

It's called the Kozlekedesi museum, in Hungarian. It's one of the most interesting in Budapest, especially if you are a tech freak. One of the most interesting exhibits is that of some locomotives and train cars at 1,5 scale, with all the details, and a recreation of a 19th century railway station. Except that, you can see collections of old cars and motorcycles, exhibitions about the history of shipping and the first travel into space of a Hungarian. The museum is located in Varosliget park, the entry fee is 200 forints.
