Buda Castle Labyrinth, Budapest

This maze of tunnels is located under Castle Hill. It's made of huge cavernous rooms, originally meant as cellars and bomb shelters, some of them being accessible without a guide. Another great thing about these tunnels is that when it is hot outside, it remains cool and airy down below. A flashlight might be recommended, as several sections are in complete darkness, you can rent one when buying the ticket.
