adaline's question:
What do you know about the official celebration in Hungary, St. Stephen Day?(give a different answer) .
St. Stephen is the patron saint of Hungary, he took control of Hungary at the end of the 10th century and made history when he asked for and received a royal crown from the Pope, making him Hungary's first king. Primarily it's a religious celebration, St. Stephen's Day is celebrated with masses in churches - the mass in St. Stephen's Basilica is probably the largest, as it is especially nice. In the evening, the sky is lit up with fireworks from Gellert Hill. For the best views, get onto the Danube or over to Margaret Isand.
